Founders

Rachelle Schmersal

Rachelle began her journey in the technology and telecommunications industry in 2000. For the first 15 years of her career, she focused on the operations side of the business, gaining a unique perspective on behind-the-scenes processes. This extensive experience allows Rachelle to guide her clients with a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in delivering seamless technology solutions.

Client satisfaction and loyalty are Rachelle's top priorities. She thrives on building lasting relationships and witnessing the positive impact of tailored solutions on her clients' businesses. Rachelle integrates herself into her clients' teams, always keeping their best interests at heart. Driven by a passion for client success over profit margins, she focuses on what truly benefits her clients rather than what makes the most money.

When Rachelle isn't working with her clients, she loves spending quality time with her husband, camping, and exploring the great outdoors. She's also a devoted mom and grandma, cherishing every moment with her kids and grandkids.

Scott Porter

Scott's love of technology started in 1977 when his father brought home an Imsai 8080 personal computer. Twenty years later, after 2 stints in the US Army and completing college, he entered the technology industry and has never looked back.

Starting at Inacom in 1997, Scott quickly found an affinity for networking. That led to several roles at Cisco over two tours and ten years. He also led teams and practices at NEC and ePlus. ePlus gave him the opportunity to run their technology agency and cloud practice business development. During this time, Scott watched as the technology agency model grew, and he decided to start a business with his partner, Rachelle Schmersal.

Throughout his career, Scott has focused on customer service and success and brings that focus to CloudNow Consulting.

The Partners

While Rachelle and Scott are long-time industry veterans, they had not met until a happy coincidence brought them together at a President Club trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. While there with their spouses, the two couples met and hit it off, spending much of the weekend jointly doing the same activities and starting a friendship.

About 4 months later, Rachelle and Scott had a conversation in which both mentioned that they were looking for something new, and the idea to launch their own business was born. The business launched in January 2023, with the goal of providing the best possible customer service for its clients.
